Key Responsibilities
- Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments via phone and electronic systems
- Communicate clearly with Spanish- and English-speaking patients regarding appointment details, preparation instructions, and follow-ups
- Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and eligibility when scheduling
- Coordinate schedules with providers, clinics, and medical staff to optimize availability
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the scheduling system
- Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls professionally
- Address patient questions and concerns with empathy and confidentiality
Qualifications
- Fluent in Spanish and English (spoken and written)
- High school diploma or equivalent (healthcare-related education is a plus)
- Previous experience in healthcare scheduling, medical front desk, or call center preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
