Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated Junior WordPress Developer to assist in building and maintaining WordPress websites. This role is ideal for someone who has a foundational understanding of WordPress development, theme customization, and plugin management. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, eager to learn, and capable of handling routine WordPress tasks with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customize and maintain WordPress themes using page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg

  • Perform basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery edits

  • Configure and troubleshoot plugins to ensure site functionality

  • Manage menus, widgets, and shortcodes on WordPress sites

  • Edit themes using child themes and basic PHP

  • Implement responsive design and ensure cross-browser compatibility

  • Assist in WooCommerce setup (if required)

  • Perform regular backups and migrations using tools like All-in-One WP Migration or Duplicator

  • Follow SEO best practices for WordPress

  • Maintain WordPress security standards and update plugins/core files when necessary

Requirements:

  • Basic understanding of WordPress core architecture and dashboard

  • Familiarity with page builders such as Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg

  • Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and basic JavaScript/jQuery

  • Ability to install and configure plugins, and troubleshoot minor issues

  • Understanding of WordPress template hierarchy and child theme development

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with WooCommerce setup and management

  • Familiarity with website performance optimization techniques

  • Basic understanding of technical SEO for WordPress
