UI/UX Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a UI/UX Engineer who can bridge the gap between product strategy and technical implementation. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Product Team to understand workflows, user roles, and business objectives and then design and develop user interfaces that deliver an exceptional experience.

This is not just a design role the selected candidate will actively participate in product discussions, transform requirements into visual interfaces, and build functional front-end components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Business Analysts to understand product goals, user journeys, and role-based workflows.
  • Translate business and functional requirements into intuitive UI/UX designs and prototypes.
  • Develop responsive, maintainable, and accessible front-end components using modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
  • Work with back-end engineers to ensure smooth integration and data-driven interactions.
  • Conduct user experience testing and incorporate feedback into design refinements.
  • Maintain design consistency and contribute to a scalable design system / component library.
  • Participate in feature reviews, usability discussions, and UI quality assurance before release.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Design, or a related discipline.
  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience in UI/UX Engineering or Front-End Development.
  • Proven ability to understand product logic, role-based workflows, and user needs.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and one modern front-end framework (React, Angular, or Vue).
  • Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch for UI/UX design and prototyping.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.


Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience working in the U.S. medical or healthcare domain — particularly in products involving EHR (Electronic Health Records), medical billing, or HIPAA-compliant interfaces.
  • Familiarity with healthcare workflows such as QME, practice management, appointment scheduling, or medical documentation systems.
  • Understanding of compliance-driven design (e.g., accessibility, privacy, and audit requirements).
