Appedology is seeking a dynamic and experienced Content Writer Team Lead to spearhead our content creation efforts. This role will oversee a team of writers to produce engaging, SEO-optimized content for our medical services, SaaS products, and related IT solutions. The ideal candidate is a versatile writer with a deep understanding of healthcare regulations, Google algorithm updates, and digital marketing trends. They will assess content viability, capitalize on viral opportunities, and ensure alignment with industry standards to drive client engagement and brand visibility.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of content writers, fostering a collaborative environment, providing constructive feedback, and driving professional growth to ensure high-quality output.
Develop and implement content strategies for medical, RCM, and SaaS products, including blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, email campaigns, social media content, and website copy.
Stay updated on healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, CMS guidelines), Google updates (e.g., Core Web Vitals, E-A-T), and digital marketing trends to ensure compliant and optimized content.
Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, and performance tracking to evaluate content viability and maximize SEO impact.
Identify and create viral content opportunities by leveraging social media trends, audience insights, and data-driven strategies to boost engagement and shareability.
Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to align content with business objectives, client needs, and product launches.
Edit and proofread team content to ensure accuracy, clarity, brand consistency, and compliance with industry standards.
Utilize analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush) to monitor content performance, report insights, and refine strategies for optimal ROI.
Innovate with diverse content formats, such as infographics, videos, or interactive guides, to meet evolving audience preferences.
Manage content workflows, assign tasks, and ensure deadlines are met in a fast-paced agency environment.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field; certifications in digital marketing/SEO are a plus.
5+ years of content writing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Proven expertise in writing for healthcare, medical, or SaaS industries, with a portfolio showcasing versatile styles (technical, educational, promotional).
Strong knowledge of SEO principles, Google algorithm updates, and content optimization tools.
Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage and inspire a team of 30+ members in a hybrid or remote setting.
Proficiency in content management systems (e.g., WordPress, HubSpot) and analytics platforms.
Analytical skills to assess content viability and predict viral potential using data and trend analysis.
