We are seeking a Business Analyst with hands-on experience in the US healthcare domain, specifically within EHR/EMR systems. The ideal candidate should be capable of bridging the gap between clinical teams and technical developers, with the ability to analyze workflows, document requirements, and support cross-functional delivery in compliance with HIPAA and healthcare interoperability standards.
Gather and document functional and non-functional requirements for EHR-related modules
Create detailed BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, and process flow diagrams
Work closely with developers, QA, UI/UX designers, and clinical stakeholders
Ensure solutions align with HIPAA compliance and healthcare data privacy
Support clinical decision support, appointment scheduling, order entry, and documentation flows
Conduct gap analysis, workflow optimization, and impact assessments in clinical environments
Manage UAT coordination, end-user training, and adoption strategies
Collaborate on EHR integrations with labs, pharmacies, radiology, and billing systems
Define and manage user roles and access controls within the application
Translate clinical and operational needs into clear technical requirements
Utilize tools like JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart for documentation and collaboration
Strong understanding of EHR/EMR workflows: patient intake, charting, billing, labs, etc.
Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, CCD/CCR, and healthcare interoperability protocols
Knowledge of HIPAA and regulatory frameworks for data security and compliance
Prior experience working in healthcare product or clinical software environments
Skilled communicator, able to align with both technical and clinical teams
Experience with custom-built EHR systems
Exposure to clinical systems integration and real-world deployment
Basic understanding of SQL or reporting dashboards for healthcare data
Detail-oriented, analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication (technical + non-technical)
Comfortable interacting with clinicians, developers, and senior stakeholders
Organized and proactive in managing documentation and deadlines
